Description
“Geographic Information Systems (GIS)” was the selected topic for the quarter one (Q1) of Fiscal Year (FY) 2018. This CoP session was planned in two segments; the purpose of the first segment is to share experiences about how to make mapping useful and how to improve data utilization using different GIS softwares, and learn more about the benefits of using GIS in the implementation of different projects. The purpose of the second segment is to train IPs on using a free and open source GIS tool which will improve IPs’ knowledge and utilization of the mapping technology, specifically by using Quantum Geographic Information Systems (QGIS) software.
