The purpose of this assignment is to conduct a rapid diagnosis of the garment sector in
Jordan. The analysis in this report is primarily based on the survey results conducted by
SABEQ consultants during the month of May/June 2007. The survey aimed at developing a
concise yet detailed picture of the current profile of garment manufacturers (factory
ownership, level of exports, employment, main markets, main products, production costs,
challenges, and required areas of assistance, etc.). The report concludes with a summary
section that serves as an abridged version of the full report.
