The American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan, (AmCham-Jordan) was founded in 1999
under the name of the Jordanian American Business Association (JABA). The Jordanian
government officially approved the registration of the JABA as a not-for-profit organization
chartered with the mission of promoting trade and investment between Jordan and the
United States of America.
