This Report sets the scene for the development of such a National FDI Strategy, building
upon the good recent work of the National Agenda and JV2020 initiatives. It outlines the process to be adopted in developing such a national strategy, setting out a best practice methodology and commenting on current development in Jordan. There must be agreement at national level of the need for such a strategy and full cooperation
from a wide range of public and private sector interests in its development, and later, in its
implementation. The process of developing a national FDI strategy should not be a long-drawn out process.
