ENERGY EFFICIENCY FOR INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTIVITY PROGRAM ROADMAP (2023 – 2025)

The USAID Energy Sector Support Activity (ESSA) designed the Energy Efficiency (EE) for Industrial
Productivity Program to offer direct technical assistance to Jordan's industries, leverage resources
available for the industrial sector through other development partners and work closely with national
actors to enable a market-driven, scalable EE adoption that is in line with national goals and priorities.
While the Energy Efficiency for Industrial Productivity Program (the Program) responds to existing
challenges in energy use within the industrial sector, it also enables future opportunities that would
enhance industrial productivity and strengthen the resilience and competitiveness of Jordan’s
economy.

The Program will create interest on the demand side (industries) and strengthen the supply side
(energy service providers (ESPs)) to meet the increasing demand while working on market enablers
across the board. Through the Program, ESSA designed several interventions to support a wide range
of potential interventions that would serve the selected, participating industries throughout the ESSA
implementation period.
