The purpose of this study is to explore the design of the English language learning process for students from the second stage of pre-kindergarten to twelfth grade in Jordan. It is essential for the education system to address the challenges that existed before the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the educational loss resulting from school closures at the same time as the implementation of new curriculum frameworks.
All of this provides a unique opportunity to conduct an evaluative study of the current policies, curriculum framework, teaching practices, and to provide recommendations on the best ways to support students' English language learning in Jordan.
This preliminary report aims to outline the scope and content of the study and includes the preparatory phase of this research, as well as the main question of the study:
"What is required to ensure the readiness of the education system to deliver a high-quality English language learning process in Jordanian schools, especially after the school closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic?"
