Final report on Technical Assistance for the MOH’s AHA BLS/ACLS program

The pandemic revealed the need for MOH doctors and nurses to have competencies in basic and
advanced life support. In Year 2, the Activity supported the MOH in conducting the American
Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) training sessions, targeting 450 Health Care
Providers (HCPs) and institutionalize the MOH’s capacity to provide updated AHA-certified BLS
training. In Year 3, LHSS supported the MOH to train an additional 200 HCPs on AHA-certified
BLS training. LHSS also worked with the MOH’s METD as they pursued AHA certification for the
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training.
