This document demonstrates how Solar Heat for Industrial Processes (SHIP) is a viable option for Jordan as fuel prices and irradiation are high. SHIP can be a means to reduce the dependency on imported fuels which already today cause high costs for the public and private sectors. At the same time it has positive employment effects, especially when the share of local added value increases over time.
