Cultural development
"A leading national historic and cultural tourism site, Jerash Archaeological Site (hereafter the ‘Jerash Site’)
requires upgrading to ensure its continued protection, and its longstanding appeal to visitors.
The Jerash Site is in need of physical improvements, including maintenance and conservation, as well as
coordinated site upgrading for a better visitor experience. Implementation of the improvement project will
require systematic, coordinated and collaborative planning between all stakeholders in order to achieve
desired results. It is important that stakeholder consultations continue during the initial phase of the
implementation process."
