This e-commerce strategy provides a framework for the development of e-commerce in Jordan
over the next five years. The strategy is founded in an assessment of the present state of ecommerce
and the factors on which it relies carried out between July and October 2007. This
assessment led to the identification of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to be taken
into consideration in developing the strategy. The assessment was presented to a stakeholder
workshop on 20th September 2007 in which a vision and candidate goals of a strategy were
discussed together with enablers and stakeholder involvement.
