This national report conducted in 2010 by a national mental research team under the direction of The Higher Council for Science & Technology presents the findings of the quality of mental health services in Jordan. The four part-study consists of the World Health Organization Assessment Instrument for Mental Health Systems (WHO-AIMS), quality of inpatient mental health services, quality of outpatient mental health services, and primary health care physicians and mental health services. The goals of collecting this information is to improve the mental health system and to provide a baseline for monitoring the change in mental health services. In the long term, this will enable Jordan to develop information-based mental health plans with clear base-line information and targets.
