In this study, characteristics of wastewater for WWTP As-Samra were determined. Characterization of wastewater was evaluated in terms of measuring chemical oxygen
demand (COD), biological oxygen demand (BOD5), total suspended solids (TSS), for the
influent and effluent from the plants. The performance of the wastewater treatment plants was evaluated and the quality of the reclaimed wastewater was compared with Jordanian Standards to determine its suitability for reuse.
