The Ministry of Industry and Trade, in response to concerns about increased inflation and
renewed calls for price controls or other measures to alleviate inflationary pressures,
requested EnConsult, through the USAID-funded SABEQ program, to conduct a brief
assessment of the current situation in Jordan and the proposed application of price controls
and/or alternative measures.
