Through the AMIR project, USAID is supporting Jordan’s ongoing economic reform
process, including specific efforts aimed at attracting foreign investment. One of the
constraints to increasing the role of foreign investment in the Jordanian economy is a
lack of serviced commercial and industrial land. Government or parastatal entities
control most available serviced plots, and private sector development of industrial real
estate remains extremely limited
