Amman is an ancient city that has been held by successive conquerors all of whom have left their mark throughout its long and enduring history As a result it holds an exceptionally rich patrimony of heritage that is potentially of great interest to visitors and yet it is not an easy city for the visitor to access. The Amman bus tour is a project to reverse this to make Amman a much easier capital to enjoy. The plan is for a circular bus tour of Amman that will introduce the visitor to most of the important heritage sites and provide an excellent overview of the city. The bus tour is one of a number of integrated projects all of which are designed to increase the attractiveness of Amman as Jordan’s leading tourism center and to underpin faster growth leading to positive economic impacts and benefits that tourism can bring.
