Badia Police Fort Complex Business Plan Summary

The Badia Police Fort in the village of Wadi Rum was built in 1938 as a post for the Badia/desert police, who have played a big role in securing stability and peace between the Bedouin tribes in Jordan and Wadi Rum specifically, as well as those in the region. The project sought to encourage Wadi Rum village to transform from an urban settlement to a tourism village, whereby accommodation, craft manufacture and related tourism services and commercial activities would result in improved economic benefits for the villagers.
