This document is the result of a collaborative effort to improve the measurement and use of indicators to assess infant and young child feeding practices, initiated by the World Health Organization’s Department of Child and Adolescent Health and Development. The new set of indicators reflects current guidance on breastfeeding, complementary feeding, and feeding of non-breastfed infants and young children less than 2 years of age.
