The Local Health System Sustainability Project (LHSS) under the USAID Integrated Health Systems IDIQ helps low- and middle-income countries transition to sustainable, self-financed health systems as a means to support universal health coverage. In FY21, LHSS assessed hospital floor plans aiming to prevent contamination and spread of the virus among HCPs, patients, and hospital visitors. From an assessment of 16 hospitals, including four MOH field hospitals, LHSS developed personal protective equipment (PPE) tutorial kits for all 32 MOH hospitals . 3,000 IPC toolkits were distributed to health care professionals in 33 MOH hospitals and 14 health directorates.
