FHI 360 under the USAID Civic Initiatives Support Program (USAID CIS) has adopted the Institutional Development Assessment (IDA) tool for Jordanian civil society organizations (CSOs) to identify their institutional development priorities and to plan for capacity development in those respective areas. Adapted from the AED Institutional Development Assessment (IDA) during the Jordan Civil Society Program, the tool has undergone a series of changes, the latest in 2014, which included additional points related to advocacy, gender and inclusivity of persons with disabilities in addition to expanding parts on governance. The IDA is a facilitated self- assessment tool that focuses on four key functional areas: 1. Management Systems, 2. Financial Resources, 3. External Relations, 4. Programs/Services Delivery
