The USAID/Siyaha project is supporting the ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, Department of Antiquities and the Greek Orthodox Church to improve the management of heritage and archaeological sites by encouraging the use of improved site management based on best practices. To date, USAID/Siyaha has facilitated the site management plan for Madaba and brought it to 80% completion with launch of some priority projects including the interpretation unit at the visitor centre, the interpretation plan for the MAP, the shelter for the Martyr’s church and the upgrade of the interpretation unit at the Church of the Map.
