Jordan schools construction & rehabilitation program : scoping statement for middle governorates schools  

The Ministry of Education (MOE) of Jordan with the co-operation of the Untied States
Agency for International Development (USAID) is implementing the Jordan Schools
Construction and Rehabilitation Program. The Program aims to provide by 2008 up
to 28 new schools with approximately 24 classrooms each. This will immediately
benefit about 18,200 students. The Program will also renovate around 100 existing
schools. For the middle governorates of Jordan, there are 15 proposed new schools
in Amman, Russeifeh, Zarqa, As Salt, Ein Albasha, Madaba, and South Shouna.
CDM International is managing the project in cooperation with Engicon for
environmental studies.
