The following plan, made possible with the assistance of the U.S. Department of Interior (National Park Service) and the USAID-funded Jordan Tourism Development (Siyaha) Project, describes the interpretation plan for Phase I of the Madaba Walking Tour – specifically the plan for interpretation at the Visitor Center, the Mosaic School, the Archaeological Park, and the Church of St. George (Church of the Map). The interpretation plan was developed based on the values and significance, and the interpretation objectives that were developed by the Site Management Planning committee in Madaba.
