Success Story: Enhancing Training Curricula to Respond to Employers Needs  

Delivering a quality vocational education through better curriculum in line with international best practice that also adaptive to the local industrial sector and matching the market needs, top-quality instructors is one of the main objectives for the WFD Project. One of the challenges faced by the TVET graduates entering technical/vocational training is the current mismatch between the training programs provided and the current needs of businesses. The WFD project realizes the need to motivate the private sector in Jordan to cooperate with TVET training providers and policy makers to up-date and test vocational training programs. For that the project designed its efforts to support the private sector engagement through public-private partnership (PPPs) to enhance practical and applied training, provide work-based learning opportunities, pilot VTCs as innovation hubs, and develop curricula in target sectors.
