Wadi Rum Cluster Plan  

The USAID-funded SIYAHA Program is a three year project aimed at supporting the implementation of the National Tourism Strategy. One of the project goals is to enhance the competitiveness of the tourism products by enhancing the visitor experience through the adoption of international best practices in the management of tourism sites and the creation of authentic theme-based experiences that would result in prolonging the visitor stay and increasing the spending opportunities at the sites. The following project aimed at enhancing the visitor experience in Wadi Rum nature reserve while creating economic opportunities for the local communities at Wadi Rum, Diseh, Shakriya and Salhiya. This will be achieved by working with the Nature Reserve management team, community based organizations and entrepreneurs in developing thematic and cultural based visitor experiences.
