As part of the efforts to enhance employability of Jordanian youth, and in order to provide
needed training and assistance for university students to help them bridge the gap between
academia and the job market, the USAID funded Jordan Economic Development Program
supported Mutah University in establishing the first career development center in the south.
Mutah University was selected after rigorous evaluation of two applicants to the same grant.
An appointed committee from The Program selected the university based on diversity of
courses taught, availability of facilities and number and diversity of enrolled students.
