This report was published as part of USAID/Jordan Economic Growth through Sustainable Tourism in Jordan Project (JTD III) in 2014. As part of the development of a comprehensive strategy for the Meetings and Events Industry in Jordan, this report aims to create a clear vision of the capabilities, advantages, limitations and scopes of the country and for its key destinations that are able to host international congresses, exhibitions and conventions. This document consists of an analysis of the influences and determinants of meeting activities in Jordan; the main findings from in-depth interviews and surveys made with key stakeholders from the meeting destinations in Jordan; a SWOT Analysis; and analysis of tourism in the world today.
