Tabbaa and Partners were commissioned by the SABEQ Program “to review and assess the
compatibility of the existing draft Mutual Fund Instructions with applicable laws in Jordan,
and to address remaining legal issues so that the instructions can be adopted by the Jordan
Securities Commission (the “Commission” or the “JSC”) and licenses to mutual funds can be
granted.” In response to this request, Tabbaa and Partners met with the Securities
Commission to discuss the necessary steps for the completion of this task and agreed to
address the remaining legal issues referred to as the “Supplemental Issues” and resolve any
pending legal question prior to tackling the instructions.
