REACH Resource Centre- Maps

Since November 2012, REACH has produced a variety of map products to support humanitarian efforts in Jordan related to the Syria Crisis response. Aligned with distinct refugee settings (host communities, refugee camps and informal tented settlements), REACH maps are generated based on primary data collected during REACH field assessments, secondary data sources and physical and/or geographic data.To support a number of assessments undertaken in host communities, the REACH GIS team digitized hundreds of community-identified boundaries, referred to as Basic Service Units, in order to aggregate primary data collected in the field to localities rather than larger administrative areas. These boundaries continue to serve as a basis for understanding trends at the community level.
