The USAID funded Economic Development Program (SABEQ) in its overall economic
cooperation with the Government of Jordan, conducted economic scenario planning sessions to
explore possible outcomes in response to potential challenges that may arise. By formulating
and conducting discussions around these scenarios among stakeholders, the objective was to
uncover potential opportunities and threats that can enhance or undermine Jordan’s continued
development. The expectation is that Jordan will develop a range of potential actions leading to
response plans.
