This study will highlight major findings of the institutional assessment conducted for the
Karak and Irbid Regional Municipalities over the period covering February-August 2008. The
assessment comes as a result of the technical support provided by the USAID Jordan
Economic Development Program (SABEQ) to Municipalities recognizing them as the steering
and implementing arm for local economic development process in Jordan.
